Imagine This:
Five hundred high schoolers, having 12 hours of fun for one week with all-you-can-eat food, daily rides, room service, no cell phones, everyone waiting on your needs, meeting new friends, ending each day with a gospel message about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.
Today, Young Life is a global organization with local focus. You'll find Young Life leaders from diverse cultures, nationalities and backgrounds in over 100 countries around the world.
Whether it's in inner-city Dayton or villages and towns, in countries on every continent, Young Life leaders are working with over two million young people, right in their own neighborhoods.
Dayton Urban Young Life leaders care enough about high school teens to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. After the relationship is built; after the respect is gained; after we meet the parents; we invite the teens to attend our weekly Bible Study (Campaigners) and our weekly party (Club). Each teen is teen introduced to their Christian leader, who will walk with them during their high school career.
Volunteer your time to work directly with young people.
